I have been wanting to try Piracetam since I registered here, but I dont want to waste my money on the scale and other dosing equipment as I probably will not end up liking it since I have tried ALCAR and B vitimins and found that neither improved my mental preformance.

I noticed today at 1fast400 that for Piracetam and Choline Citrate it says, "These powders are reduced down from kilo sizes. Each powder is put into a 4oz HDPE container and then labeled with dosing based off 1/4 tsp."

So can these powders by dosed with a cooking 1/4 tsp. measurer? How many mg is in 1/4 tsp.? I always thought that powders were compressible so dosing could only be done by weight.

I would suggest starting with pe-capped piracetam (and CDP-choline or alpha GPC). It might be a litte more expensive then powder, but for trying its alot cheaper (instead of findng out after a couple months that you don't want to continue and you have a lot of the powders left.. )

"I have tried...B vitimins and found that neither improved my mental preformance"

Uhhh Your body needs B vitamins to function as cofactors in zillions of reactions. Your subjective experience is....not helpful in deciding how much/whether to take.

BAC has a pocket scale that goes for $11.70 (US) that claims to be accurate to 1/100th of a gram.

"I have tried...B vitimins and found that neither improved my mental preformance"

Uhhh Your body needs B vitamins to function as cofactors in zillions of reactions.  Your subjective experience is....not helpful in deciding how much/whether to take.

The complex I took contained 50mg b1, 12.5mg b2, 50mg b3, 12.5mg b6, 50mcg folic acid, 12.5 mcg b12, 25mcg biotin, and 50mg panthothenic acid. Perhaps that was not the ideal ratio, but it did not seem to help at all after experimenting with it for a few weeks.

My thinking was that my B vitimins and ALCAR levels might be at ideal levels without the pills. The zillions of reactions seem to be proceeding fine. Are natural dietary levels generally considered insufficient?

Each time after taking a 250mg ALCAR capsule, I felt overstimlulated to a counterproducitve level initially and then when it wore off I felt understimulated.

would suggest starting with pe-capped piracetam (and CDP-choline or alpha GPC). It might be a litte more expensive then powder, but for trying its alot cheaper (instead of findng out after a couple months that you don't want to continue and you have a lot of the powders left.. )

250 grams is only $9.99, and I have found no source of capped piracetam for a cheaper price, so I will probably go with the powders if it is really possible to does it by volume.

Chris,

I'm only commenting on the B vitamins.

I'd suggest that you take whatever that was, or a B-25 or B-50 or some such. Failling that I would strongly suggest you get your homocyysteine tested (not a bad idea anyway).

"The zillions of reactions seem to be proceeding fine."

Based on what?

If you're not taking 500 mg vit C twice a day, some fish oil and a multi then you're shortchanging yourself.
