Couple of weeks ago I ordered some supplements, one of them is called Green Defense, just bought it out of curiosity and in the hopes it might mean something for my symptoms. (I guess it's not allowed to post the brandname, it can easily be found by a google search).

I'm about more than one week on this supplement, the first day I took it, it felt like the first time I took Sarcosine, I was in a great mood, spontaneously talkative to other people outside, my cognition got a boost and positive symptoms diminished to the point I almost forgot to take my medications. I thought maybe it's just coincidence and/or placebo effect so I didn't jump to conclusions. After one week I'm seriously getting convinced this supplement is a great adjunct to schizophrenic and/or mood medication, it still has the same effect on me like day 1, where Sarcosine fails to address positive symptoms, this supplement doesn't, till last week I was still struggling with thought intrusions, noticeable background voices and still felt psychotic on a daily bases for some couple of hours a day (and around other people), now however, my mind is clear, off course not for 100% but here comes the cognitive aspect of this supplement kicking in. My mind finally seems to be able to process thoughts more efficiently, whenever a psychotic thought, voice or whatever positive symptom kicks in, my mind doesn't dwell on it, it quickly can address it, that it's not reality but just another brain-fart (so to speak  ).

I don't really know how to describe my symptoms in just one word (like anhedonia or whatever) or I would've extensively addressed what this supplement does for me but people who are stable, have insight and are looking for a cheap supplement to improve their condition, you may want to give $15,- for this supplement to try and see if it has the same effect on you like it does have on me. (I guess cleaning the gut with this green stuff helps the brain also maintain clean. However, like with all current treatments, don't expect miracles!)

This supplement contains:

Clonazepam 1mg 2x daily

Nice finds!

The links (especially the one from abcnews) explains so much more than the gut and it's relationship with anxiety. Like I said in another thread, when I take Green Defense alongside Pregnenolone it's seems like I'm the most relax dude on the planet because of the serenity I experience in my mind. My mood, some negatives, some cognitive symptoms improved so much in just 1/2 weeks, like in the article, it's not a magic bullet but the more I experience this calmness (which lasts throughout the day) I'm starting to believe it sure is a very potent green bullet which should be explored by more people with mental health issues. Where I normally needed 1,5-2mg Clonazepam, I'm now thinking of tapering it off to 1mg because I also experience my agitation/anxiety decreased. (The article also claims what I had heard last week on TV and was skeptical about, that neurotransmitters might already be produced in the gut).

In case someone else is gonna give it a go: I'm taking one spoon of Green Defense (spoon from the bottle) in the morning on an empty stomach and added one before going to bed since 4/5 days.

Maybe others can chime in whom are taking other Green/probiotic supplements and find relieve of mental health issues... (I'm sure I am going to try more and different brands of these kind of green stuff)

This is really some fascinating stuff.  It's unbelievable, then obvious, how everything is connected with our diet and it's right in front of our faces and no one is talking about it.  Studies have shown that turmeric is more powerful than Prozac.  TURMERIC.  How have we for so long ignored this?  Why would our bodies function normally with the kind of toxic garbage we put in it?  I see article after article after article of people curing these radical diseases with simple changes in diets or curing mental health disorders with freaking supplements.  Obviously when push comes to shove and a lot of the time immediately, modern medicine is the proper and correct solution and we are more than blessed to be living in an age with such technology but how can we be so foolish as to ignore the most fundamental ingredient possible in living not only healthier but consequently happier/better lives.

I'm finding it nearly impossible lately to ignore this healthy gut thing.  I'm seeing it everywhere.  Although it's nearly physically painful every time I have to purchase a new supplement (having had so, so many not work for me and seeing my parents eyes roll when another package comes in  ) to test it out I'm unable to not do it with things like this.  I've some Reishi on the way and I was trying to pace myself with ordering my next supplement but I think I'm going to purchase this Green Defense right now.  Damnit.
