I hadn't seen the larger (640x480) version yet.

It sure is awesome to see how everything around molecular manufacturing is materializing. This animation is even being used in nanotech educations.

Sign of the times, I guess. And a positive one at that!

Why develop a nanofactory? Do you see value in a medical cure for cancer and AIDS, or do you know someone with a spinal injury and reduced quality of life? A machine like this could produce medical instruments and therapeutic devices able to make these problems a thing of the past.


Is this really so? Do we already have the knowledge on how to defeat these diseases? Could be defeat them right now if only we had atomically precise tools?

In case 'medical instruments' means 'nanobots', then I'd agree with this statement in a flash. If it means something else, I'd like somebody to enlighten me on the subject. :)
