The phosphate form is the form used in Neuralstem clinical trials. It absorbs better than the freebase form. According to testimonies on this site, the phosphate form sometime induces anxiety, but in almost all of those reports the phosphate was taken sublingually, as oppose to orally, which is the method used in Neuralstem clinical trials.

I've tried both and my opinion is that oral phosphate is by far the best option. It doesn't induce (significant) anxiety and feels much stronger than any amount of sublingual freebase, no matter how long you leave the freebase under your tongue. Also, you can't go wrong doing it like Neuralstem did. They got great results for very few side effects. They bet 15 years and millions of dollar of R&D on this phase 2 strategy, so we probably can bet our trial of NSI-189 on this strategy too.  ;)
