I will be repeating these suggestions...

(In no particular order of importance.)

1. Put at the top of the message box a number indicating the thread and a number indicating the post, like this: Thread #12343 Post #7;

2. Return by pm any message deleted by the powers in charge here;

3. Inform by pm the author of a message if his message is edited by powers here or moved to another place;

4. On justifiable request from a member, set a specified power personnel off-limits to the said requesting member; so that the specified power personnel is barred from reacting to the posts of the member and from tampering, by editing, moving, or deleting, the member's posts. Certainly, he can still approach another power personnel to do what he likes to do in regard to the member;

5. Set a time limit of at most ten minutes for the author of a post to edit or delete his published post;

6. Prevent or disable a thread starter from locking up his own thread.

Thanks for the attention of the powers here.

Susma

Susma, don't you realize that the leadership does not HAVE to do this just because you suggested...?

I believe that

5. Set a time limit of at most ten minutes for the author of a post to edit or delete his published post;

Is very wrong to do. I will have about 50 posts per day just because instead of editing some spelling mistake of an old post- I'll have to create a whole new post and apologies for the mess.

People regret things, people ameliorate things, we try to keep things in ORDER, this is an IMMORTALITY INSTITUTE. Not "KNOWING EACH OTHER COMMUNITY". There are many forums that you don't even have to register to post, and those who post are the usual ones, why don't you search these people, who can't erase or edit their posts?

Please, you have asked this for at least 6 times, it won't work.

No harm in trying and trying again.

Sister, time for you to write better posts, not a lot of posts. Better posts can be better at least in form, but best both in form and most importantly in substance.

See if I have written any post here that is not of a passing grade at least in terms of form (what gall, hahaha and hehehe).

I don't know about you, but I must confess that the thing keeping me here is the chance to know people through their written thoughts, specially when these thoughts speak their heart and mind. Hearts and minds speaking to hearts and minds, with all sincerity, honesty, cordiality, and to the edification and erudition of both conversants.

Of course there is the risk of dismaying encounters with people not inured to polite conversation; but as the old saw puts it: No risk no gain.

Chance brought me to this Forum, from a free quest in the Net for some answer to the question of indefinite lifespan. I have come to like the company -- of course there is one exception but I think he is the price to pay for otherwise the good company here.

Moving to a new neighborhood is always inconvenient and will take time and labor to develop my situation there as to make it livable and comfortable.

1. Don't call me "Sister" ever again, I am not your sister.

2. I already am decreasing the amount of posts.

3. I write the way I want, the way it is, easiest for me to clarify myself.

*4. I shouldn't be posting nonsense, such as any argue with you.

*5. Perhaps I will ignore such threads for a change.

*6. Goodbye, Susma
