I have been taking 5mg/day of deprenyl tablets for about two weeks and I have noticed that I am much more prone to anxiety. This is especially noticable when I take any stimulants, even nicotine (which isn't that bad since I wouldn't mind quitting). It does seem to lift my mood in general, but with the anxiety i'm not sure if it is worth it. I was wondering if anyone else has had this reaction.

I don't notice anything at that dosage level, and I take it with 15mg/day of dextro-amphetamine over the course of the day. That said you may be especially sensitive to it and should consider cutting your dose down to 2.5mg/day or less.

Hey Bellcurve...
I relate. I hadn't noticed it until I shared my supplement regimen with my doctor, and he asked me to stop taking everything for a week (atleast).
So its been about 4 days with no deprenyl, aniracetam, ALCAR, or any of my Vit C [E-Mer gen C] and no b vitamins.
6 months ago I was having serious memory problems. The doc said he was suprised that my memory improved so much, and asked me to stop taking everything that affected choline.
For the last 4 days I have done just that. I am still using nicotine though, which I started with about 5-6 weeks ago.
Since I stopped taking deprenyl, my anxiety level has really gone down (I wasn't aware that deprenyl effected anxiety/aggrivated it).
For me, when I started taking more deprenyl, I felt better and more alert. I had no clue that it might cause or aggrivate anxiety.
If anyone has suggestions for supplements, it'd be appreciated.

How much selegiline/deprenyl were you taking and what was your dosage schedule? Did you stop the selegiline on its own or did you stop taking a lot of things all at once?

I remember reading in a post, I think it was JustinRebo and a few others, don't quote me on that, saying that it gave some crazy dopamine overload problems, and that they stopped taking it for that reason. Someone had a MAD case of road rage...I have not forgotten that!

As with any/many things in life, dose is key. I've been taking 2.5 mg/day with no apparent deleterious effects. I am taking the less bioavailable oral tablet form, however. If you are going to translate that to a liquid-equivalence dose, that's about 1 drop per day.

You should be ok to keep taking Deprenyl if you remember to take breaks often. You can get a bit down regulated.
I remember reading another threat where a Deprenyl user found out that his problem solving skills had started deteriorating immensly when he did not take breaks. Perhaps a 2 day break every so often may ease your anxiety
