Toast is much lower on the Glycemic Index but is higher in AGEs

I actually have no idea what kind of bread you are doomed to eat in the UK, but if its GI is higher than the GI of toast, something is seriously f***** up with it...

Germans are quite averse to any form of national pride nowadays. Bread and beer are notable exeptions, though :laugh:

 

In the UK, they actually bake bread leavened with soda instead of yeast or sourdough - probably to minimize the taste and to maximize the GI
