Not stupid. Maybe a bit less focused on avant guarde. In twenty years we will look back and they will be old hat; a pleasant reminder that some of sciences greatest adventures started in a barn. :)

Like a solar panel

solar panel can work in winter times as well as the sun puts out vibrations that are not visible but which provides energy. That's why flowers can grow inside underground caves with no direct light. If we can make solar panels more effective and pick up on sun/energy vibrations for usage then maybe it can work very well.

Solar roads are a flop so far. Not technically feasible. Not economically feasible. These things were pretty obvious from the beginning.

Yeah I finally have to agree. Over design and financial mismanagement pretty much squelched them. I offered to move up there and consult free of charge. At least get a few hundred miles laid/working in Winter conditions. Plenty of necessary roads that don't see that much traffic. Maybe a military base. Sigh
