Hi.

Since nanoparticles are dangerous I have decided to look for a sunscreen that does not contain nanoparticles (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide etc).

On the other hand, I do not want to get wrinkles from the sun either. So why sunscreen should I choose?

I have read that the following ingredients might help:

Mexoryl SX (ecamsule)

Antioxidants, which to some degree can neutralize damaging “free radicals” (unstable, highly reactive oxidized molecules believed to cause tissue damage at the cellular level, harming our DNA), are sometimes added to sunscreens, though their impact is not universally accepted.  Vitamin E (alpha  tocopherol) gives some protection against UV-induced DNA damage, and vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) helps protect against sunburn. The free radicals are produced by melanin and other skin tissues exposed to light. A number of sunscreens today list "free radical protection" on the package.

Nanoparticles probably aren't dangerous... But there are a lot of good ingredients anyway, Tinosorb S, Tinosorb M, Mexoryl, Uvinul A, ... The problem with antioxidants is first getting the right ones - e.g. tocopherol and not tocopheryl - stabilizing these antioxidants - dissolved l ascorib acid is unstable - and making sure they are formulated in a way that allows them to penetrate the skin.
