Can someone kindly direct me to a telomere testing service? Not sure how it works, assuming you send in a cheek swab or something.

This one has been around for a while.

 

Two types of tests are offered, one cheap and one expensive. The cheap test only measure lymphocytes and granulocytes. The expensive test also measures B-cells, naïve and memory T-cells and NK cells.

 

They have now expanded their business, making it possible to send your samples to more locations than just Canada. However, they do no longer provide services direct-to-the-consumer but only through healthcare professionals such as your current doctor.

 

The basics is that you fill up a test tube with blood and get it to a test lab within 48 hours. I've been using FedEx for several years and they have only messed up once.

 

It's common practice to do a "baseline test" before any regimen you do, and then another test once you have completed your regimen. If you don't, you wouldn't know if the regimen had any effect or not.

thanks. It doesn't show test prices though, any idea offhand roughly how much it costs?

It would seem they have removed the prices from all order forms except the one for New York residents.

 

Here's an extract:

6-Panel Assay - 2-Panel Assay PLUS measurements for B-cells, T-cells and NK cells $1050.00

 

I suspect prices for other regions might be different.
