Here is a somewhat involved question, the solution to which could perhaps help many of us.

I used to order a custom supplement mix from a company named Customcapsule, but they haven't been answering any emails as of late, so I'm looking to move on. I would like to be able to order dozens of bulk supplement powders and mix them together at home in exact measures that I like, in a reasonably time-efficient manner. Therefore, I am wondering about if anyone has constructed such a system.

My first line of thinking is that if I mixed a large amount of supplements in a single portion and divvied this up into supplement dispenser cups, there could be no guarantee and no easy way to check that the ingredients mixed uniformly, and therefore my dosages could vary significantly from day to day. Not a good thing.

My second line of thinking is that it would be ideal to have an automated system such that powders could be put into storage vessels that feed into a central scale which automatically measures appropriate portions, whether with or without human assistance. This would be ideal, but I am also wondering whether such a universal system yet exists.

Would anyone have any other ideas as to how to tackle this challenge? If one could do this, it would save a lot of time and effort in one's daily supplement routine. Thanks for your thoughts.

I use drops of easter egg dye to assure myself that gels and supplements are evenly mixed.   I note the time it takes to achieve an even color, then stir about 3 times that time to make sure.  Mixing a small amount of bilberry(or your favorite colored sup) into a mix of white powders can work the same way.

I keep the powder mix in a plastic bag and use a measuring cup to assure the planned dosage.

Thanks, I have to say I hadn't thought of that. My main concern is still whether the different particle size in the powders would lead to uneven mixing or settling of some kind during storage. But I will try your approach and see how it goes. Oh, I might try staining one supplement with one kind of color and another with a different stain, so that I can monitor how well they mix together. Cheers!
