New Life-Extending Gene Found

Another gene, named Hst2, has been found to account for the life-extension activity that Sir2 does not cover:

Is there any way to then trigger these genes even without Caloric Intake Restriction? What would happen if these genes were constantly switched on by default? What happens if Caloric Intake Restricted metabolism is ongoing, even when your intake isn't actually restricted?
