I was wondering if anyone could see something I might be doing wrong that is giving me fatigue.
I've felt really mentally tired the last week and have had a real hard time getting school work done.
Physically I have been training martial arts 2 hours a day and feel pretty good during and after.
The only thing I could think of was maybe I am taking to much whey protein in the form of
either ON pure Whey, or Muscle Milk.

Here is my supplement regiment:

7:30am
16oz milk + cytogainer
3g Super omega 3 fish oil
NOW Adam Multi
400 IU vitamin E complex (Country Life)
Maxi-C complex (country life)
1g piracetam
200mg alpha gpc
deprenyl 1mg

8:30am
Calcium/Magnesium half serving size (Country Life)
Mixed fruit or half cup blueberries
200-400mg pyritinol
100mcg hup-a
occasionally 1-2 Biotest Spike caps.

(goto class and feel very tired lately!)

3pm-5pm
1g piracetam
NOW Adam
3g Fish oil
Cal/mag other half serving
Maxi-C Complex (country life)
(if studying I take hup-a 100mcg and pyritinol 200-400mg)

Thanks.

It is a weight gainer/meal replacement product.

Ooops. I figured it out. I was drinking some grape juice that was messing with my blood sugar.

I would also recommend more actual whole food at breakfast. Save the WeightGainer/MRP for the lunch meal. You may be getting too much Maltodextrine in a weight gainer and, contrary to what the supplement companies claim, it is not a complex carb. It is a simple chain of monosaccharides and will spike insulin much like dextrose or glucose will. Oats or some other actual complex carb would be much better suited for breakfast.

...and yes the grape juice will certainly add to the problem. Better off eating fruit than drinking it :)

Also if you exercise more, your brain will get more oxygen to the brain and you will have more mental energy (not sure if you exercise a lot)

You could also try a Vasodilator such as vinpocetine, of all the nootropics ive tried, this gives me by far the most mental energy.

In my case, the Piracetam was making me very sleepy.

It took me a while to acknowledge it but now I tend to use Aniracetam which doesnt as much.

I've noticed the same thing. Does the Aniracetam seem to be just as effective? Also, is there anything a person can do to combat that sleepy feeling from Piracetam other than stimulants?

My weight gainer shakes consist of oats, whey protien, and penunt butter. Made with milk. As mnosal says maltodextrin breaks down quite easily.

From what I have read, Aniracetam is about 5-10 times more potent.

I have just started again on Aniracetam this morning and am feeling great without any drowsiness.
The effects seem to be marked after a few days usually and last a long time.
