I have been taking 2 capsules of AOR's ashwagandha product (ingredients below) for about a week now for its neuroregenerative effects. Now I read in the latest issue of LEF magazine that ashwagandha is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Presumably it is not as strong as aricept or huperzine. Do I need to be careful with using it, lest excess acetylcholine creep up on me? I do take a choline source in the form of centrophenoxine, usually in the morning. I take ashwagandha when I get home from school/work and again before bed.

It makes my neck hurt. I don't think there are any cognitive problems, just physical pains.

Is your neck stiff? A stiff neck is one of the signs of an excess amount of acetylcholine.
