The 80/20 Rule

What do you folksies think about the 80/20 rule espoused by the Primal leader Mark Sisson?
That is, as long as you're eating primal 80% of the time, the other 20% doesn't matter?
Stupid? Necessary?
Excuse to cheat really bad at least once a week?
The only option to maintain sanity?
Seriously, who does this?
I know Duke Nukem hasn't been here for a while but from what I remember he had a pretty strict approach and rarely or never cheated?
What about you?

Sounds like he can't stick to his own decadent diet of meat and fat. Maybe he needs some carbohydrates to think properly...

I think that is perfectly sensible, it makes his diet more flexible for people to use for transitioning, special occasions or whatever other reason. Also, i am pretty sure legumes, dairy and whole grains count as cheating to him. So it isn't always junk food that fills up the 20%

Yup agree, I think he also refers to situations wherein there might be a dinner gathering and somebody made something that somewhat veers away from the primal life style.
This group is so fucking weird, a couple years ago everybody and their mamma was talking about Mark Sisson, now he barely gets a whisper. Was it the study on processed meats that is making everybody paranoid now?
