Over the past few weeks we seem to have increasing problems with new users being unable to register.
If YOU are affected, our sincere apologies, we are trying to identify the problem and fix it.
Meanwhile, the following works as a manual 'fix' - if you can wait
1) register as normal
2) log in using the username(!) and password you selected
3) click on "contact"
4) use the tab "registration problems" at the bottom
5) for "message subject" please put "validate"
6) for "topic" please put any statement that you would have used for your mandatory 1st introductory post, saying a few words about yourself and your interests
7) wait ca.1-3 days, for manual validation by a volunteer
