So I have been finishing my basement, and in the process, I found "Mars and Venus:Fitness and Nutrition by John Gray-a book I bought at a yard sale a few years ago. I almost tossed it in the donation bin, but stopped to thumb through it. This resulted in something I had never heard of before.
Gray recounted his experience trying a new therapy wherein he was hooked to an IV, and received a full complement of amino acids, vitamins and minerals, and even some ozone therapy. The effects, he said, were subtle but noticeable to the point that even his wife commented that for the first time, he was fully practicing that which he "preached" in his books.
He seems to think running this micronutriton straight to his bloodstream, bypassing the liver altogether, was what made the difference, and with the ozone therapy reversing shoulder damage(thus eliminating the need for surgery) he was a new "convert".
Have any of you heard of this, or even experienced it?
Thoughts?

IV vitamins/aminos/minerals are somewhat common in the naturopathy world. I received a modified "Meyer's cocktail" with some extra magnesium and 10g of vitamin C. It was a profound experience and I fell asleep during the drip because of the sudden infusion of magnesium. Felt great the next day and for a few days afterward. I'd like to do it regularly, but I hate needles and it the procedure is a little pricey.

I know in USSR they did experiment on athletes with IV aminoacids with results comparable to steroids but too dangerous and dropped.

Don't ask me what "dangerous" meant, maybe in order to obtain such dramatic effects the dosage was huge, I really don't know.

Probably is.

There is a large amount of alternative literature concerning Vitamin C that is relevant.

Liposomes > I.V > Oral.

Read up on it - any book by Thomas Levy would do.
