I am taking 6,000 mg/day of TMG and it's helping my mood quite a bit, but it's giving me insane gas.  It is both an extremely high volume of gas along with a horrible smell of rotten eggs.  I've tried lowering the dose but I don't feel as good on lower dosages.  Is there anything I can do to reduce the gas?

Thanks!

Greg

Uncommon problem...as lots of my friends and patients do use TMG in about same gram-age without any major rise of uncontrollable and excessive flatulence. The unpleasant, noxious odor of rotten egg [methane], usually comes from the large intestine due to the imbalance of bacteria. Try the full spectrum of probiotics with trace minerals & FOS.

Thank you very much.  Are there other things I can try?  I was thinking about trying Bean-O, for example.  Might that help me?

I already take a probiotic that has FOS in it.  The label is below.  I have been taking two of these per day (one with breakfast and one with dinner) for years.  Do I need to take more?  I've read that FOS can actually make gas worse.  Is it possible the FOS in my probiotic supplement is working against me?

Proprietary Blend Probiotic 15-35
Ultra Complex in VIABLEND® (L. acidophilus, L. casei, L. rhamnosus, L. plantarum, B. bifidum, B. breve, B. infantis, B. longum, L. paracasei, L salivarius, L brevis, L. fermentum, L. helveticus, L. lactis and S. thermophilus) 200 mg *

FOS (Fructooligosaccharides) NutraFlora® 200 mg *
