Hi All,
One thing I am interested in is the role ATP plays in brain function. I am yet to see anyone suggest taking creatine to increase the levels of ATP in the body/brain, but it has been shown that without adequate levels of ATP in the brain, function decreases - any comments on this?
It's used commonly in body building as having increased levels of ATP in your muscles allows you to 'push' yourself a bit harder, because in a sense your muscles have a bit more fuel in them than normal.
There are only so many ways to increase / improve brain function - blood flow, more oxygen, cholinergenic system / synaptic function (can't think of any else).
