I vlogged Bruce Klein's opening remarks at the Atlanta Conference. I had to edit them down a bit to a mere 4 1/2 minutes and gave them the titalling title "WAGING WAR ON DEATH".
The accompaning text (and part of the title) explained that this was part of the first Conference sponsored by The Immortality Institute whose goal was "banishing the blight of involuntary death".
To my pleasant surprise, within the first 72 hours, 260 people have watched Bruce's opening remarks via the Internet. This has been my most successful vlog to date. It shows how powerful a tool vlogging (videoblogging-putting video on the Internet) can be.
Through this simple media tool, more people have been able to watch Bruce's presentations than all those present in the room at the time.
I'm sure part of this response is due to the enthusiasm of members here who have been sharing my main vlog address: http://www.randywick...g.blogspot.com/
I intended to put up a series of vlogs about the conference. However, I've hesitated to put up Susan's introduction of the first speaker and that speaker's opening remarks about "The Legal Rights of Conscious Computers" since that posting is "more focused".
I don't want the "big issue" to be lost among disputes about AI, legal rights of conscious computers, cryonics, etc. I've decided to hold off for a couple days because not everyone knows to "scroll down" to see my previous vlogs.
Personal notice here: My previous vlogs are all over the map--probably part of "the map" of our society some Immortalists may object to (as can be seen in some of the posted discussion).
For those who (in the future mainly) want to just watch the video without reading the accompanying text, that can be done via this link:

You have to have some version of the free Quicktime program installed in your computer to watch this clip. If you have a cable connection, the download might take from 1 1/2 minutes to 2 full minutes. A friend with a dial-up connection said the download took a full 20 minutes for him. I'm not sure about DSL but I suspect it will be closer to two minutes than to twenty.
Hope you enjoy watching this video. Hopefully, Immortalists will use this new medium to "spread the message". I handed out tiny fliers at the Atlanta Conference which said:
"JOIN THE NEW MEDIA REVOLUTION
