I've recently started taking TwinLab creatine supplements, it says that I should take about 7200mg (6 capsules) a day, and that I should take 3 capsules before and 3 capsules after my workout. Right now I'm taking 3600mg (3 capsules) and 3600mg after I workout. I've been hearing rumors that if I take too much creatine it could be bad for my health, I don't want to cause any problems for myself so how much creatine is too much? I've only been taking it for a short amount of time so I'd like to get it straight now before its too late. Also is it safe to take it every day forever? Or should I only take it every once in a while?

It depends on if you plan to cycle it or not. I think 5g of so is a safe amount to take everyday. If you plan on cycling every 8 weeks or something, maybe like 10-15g. However, I don't think that there are any benefits to be had above 5g per day anyway for most people.

I plan to take it every day, so maybe I will take 2 pills in the morning and 2 at night. That would be 4.8g, sounds like a good amount to me.

6 caps are not that much. Most of the bodybuilders use 10-15gr a day. You should consider CEE, i had great results with it at 2-4gr a day.

I just checked out CEE, looks promising, thanks for the tip. Is it any more risky than normal creatine? Which brand did you use da sense?

It's not riskier than creatine monohydrate. I use bulk CEE from www.bulknutrition.com it's same as any other but much cheaper

Forgot to add, if you can't handle very acidic taste then get some capped CEE or buy in bulk and cap yourself

Is it true that creatine causes liver and heart problems? Is this only if I take too much too often or is there even a good chance that I will get problems from taking it?

It might overload your kidneys and if you have some kindey problems it can worsen it. But up to 15gr a day shouldn't be a straing for heatlhy person.
AFAIK creatine doesn't causes liver or heart problems, you're probably mixing it with steroids.
