I've been using a dht gel 2.5% (andractim) for two months now and can say with absolute certainty that it's effective for social anxiety. Oddly, it doesn't do much against if I've masturbated, which causes some odd mental effects in myself and one of those effects being that I am easily suggestible and anxious.

https://en.wikipedia...-Androstanediol

DHT is metabolized to 3α-Androstanediol, which may explain its anxiolytic effects.

"3α-Androstanediol is an endogenous inhibitory androstane neurosteroid and weak androgen, and a major metabolite of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). As a neurosteroid, it acts as a potent positive allosteric modulator of the GABAA receptor, and has been found to have rewarding, anxiolytic, pro-sexual, and anticonvulsant effects. As androgens such as testosterone and DHT are known to have many of the same effects as 3α-diol and are converted into it in vivo, it is thought that this compound may in part be responsible for said effects."

I don't experience any pro-sexual effects from taking it. If anything, taking this dht cream has made it more easy (but only slightly) not to masturbate.

For those who don't want to offer a huge sum of money for it there is also (maybe) an alternative, which is epiandrosterone or androsterone which I believe (may be wrong) legal in the UK. At least there is a UK based store selling epiandro and androsterone, both of which convert to dht orally and are not liver toxic.

I have tried a mix of both epiandro and androsterone but can't comment much on it because the agmatine added to it makes it very difficult to take without getting lightheaded. It does give me a sense of masculinity at some times.

I agree with you that abstaining from masturbating helps some people with severe social anxiety. The only supplements that truly helped my social anxiety were low dose Vitamin D3 working synergistically with creatine. Creatine increases DHT and vitamin D is needed for testosterone.

I think high levels of prolactin in the body can cause anxiety, fatigue and even vision problems, which I suffered from when I masturbated everyday. A good exercise and diet regime coupled with 5g if creatine and 2000IU vitamin D a day cured my social anxiety. Vitamin E, B6, and Zinc also help to reduce prolactin.

When I take things to increase prolactin then I feel good, calm, also an antidepressive effect (maybe prolactin increases oxycotin?), though too much prolactin does induce tiredness or sleepiness but not exactly fatigue in myself. Prolactin also increases dht and I am sure it does so much better than creatine increases dht.

I've never felt anything hormonal when taking creatine, even when taking it the right way in many (10+) grams a day.

Vitamin D is a mood stabilizer for me but its mild efficacy wears off within 1-2 weeks in my case.
