rapamycin is in the news again this time relation to boosting brain health hence why i thought its good to post it in this section of the forum; https://www.scienced...60426162603.htm
"Salk Institute scientists showed how an FDA-approved drug boosts the health of brain cells by limiting their energy use. Like removing unnecessary lighting from a financially strapped household to save on electricity bills, the drug--called rapamycin--prolongs the survival of diseased neurons by forcing them to reduce protein production to conserve cellular energy"
this is quite interesting. anyone else has any clue of anything else that works by this mechanism where it slows down the protein production in cells conserving energy?
also, because of its long term discussion and talk about, does anyone know of anyone ever using rapamycin at all for any reason and has anything to report? because its quite surprising of being talked about on this forum for the past several years and yet not a single person using it for any condition...
