Does anyone know about this product? I recieved the following email (it looks real promising)

I'm not a genius, but I'm going to respond. Zeolite is just a mineral that has many uses. I am familiar with it as used in air conditioning systems as a substitute for activated carbon. It absorbs odors. Like activated carbon, it will absorb toxins, but my understanding is that it will also absorb just about anything else, like say, vitamins.

There is some interesting stuff there, and it certainly might be worth keeping an eye on. I'm not sure that their in vitro studies or small sample size (2-4) mice experiments are really worth much, and of course testimonials are pretty much completely worthless, but it's a start.

Testimonials mean nothing.

Patents mean very little. You can get a patent on a new composition. That is, if you come up with some composition of materials that is novel/new and has some use in the real world then you can receive a patent. It doesn't mean that it works for anti-aging purposes or disease reduction, it just works for "something".

Alternatively, this patent does contain some interesting text. This is how it supposedly works. In the patent they have also explained a study done in mice.

While not wishing to be bound by a particular theory, the composition of the present invention can react, or chelate into a complex, with carcinogenic agents. The basic chelation, or complexing ability of the Mg.sup.++, (magnesium ions), O, (oxygen atoms) and aluminum ions which are inside the six (6) sided cavity of the zeolite composition of the present invention. This complexation now ties up the nitrogen to nitrogen to oxygen portion of the nitrosamine (--N--N--O) and prevents it from being metabolically activated by human liver enzymes inside cells to become the nitrous free radicals which then enter the healthy human cells nucleus, damaging the DNA of the chromosome and producing a rogue cell or cancer cell. The complexing of these carcinogenic nitrosamines was proven by using ASTM 3526 pager chromatography.

The compounds of the present invention target the cancerous epithelial cells, only, due to the different surface chemistry of the cancer cell itself Photomicrographs FIGS. 1 and 2, under X1000 oil immersion, show the formation of vacuoles containing MAS, which are prior to being brought into the cancer cell by endocytosis. Once inside, lysosomes attach and chemical breakdown of the MAS. The trimetallic portion of the MAS molecule crosses the nucleus of the cancer cell intercalates with the cell mutated DNA and destroys the cancer cell from within.

MMMM Very Interesting what research shows up. All zeolites contain heavy metal because of their volcanic natures. Have they been leached out of these products? If not? Ouch!

I like the people I do business with to be able to spell or at least have the sense to employ someone to proofread their announcements and this fails this basic test.

Getting back to the 'science' the heavy metals is a maybe, I don't really know enough about that area, but I'm highly doubtful about these killer viral particles.

Viruses have been implicated in cancer but they tend to be non-permissive infections that don't generate viral particles, the few exceptions to this which I can recall are lymphomas and not carcinomas. I'm also doubtful that they hang about in the body for any significant period of time. Your immune system may well struggle to destroy viral particles in the brief period of time between release and attachment to the next cell to be infected but not if they were just 'hanging around'.
