Although noted under “What’s new on the Alcor website?”, this blog did not previously note the publication of two case reports: A-3079 case report, a 2017 whole body case from overseas, and A-2887, Herbert Drazen, a 2018 case from New York.

Longtime member.

Active volunteer.

Yet dead as much as 24hrs before discovered!!!?

If members are paying $80K-200K, why doesn't

that include some kind of 24/7/365 wearable device

or chip implant activated by death???

 

I may move to Scottsdale when entering

elderly stage.  Let's have a system in place!!!

And not just in a nursing home...

Yeah, people on the new_cryonet group are discussing and working on a type of alert system. Currently the best tool we have is the CI check-in app for smart phones.

Gordon Norman, Alcor member A-1833, a non-confidential whole body member, was pronounced legally dead on May 26, 2019 in Knoxville, TN. Mr. Norman, a member since 2000, received a washout by Suspended Animation in Knoxville and underwent cryoprotective perfusion at Alcor on May 27. That day, he became Alcor’s 170th patient.

Alcor has published a case report on Norman Hardy, A-1990. This case was the first time the newly enacted California End of Life Option Act (EOLOA) was used to reduce the potential ischemic damage that can result from a prolonged dying process.

Alcor member A-1100, a confidential male Alcor member with whole-body cryopreservation arrangements, was pronounced legally dead on September 6, 2019 in Florida. Cryogenic cooldown was initiated and completed on September 6, 2019. The same day, A-1110 became Alcor’s 172nd patient.
