Is it safe for me to take 5-htp with deprenyl and picamilon?

I just finished weaning off of Lexapro (ssri). When I was taking it, I was told to avoid deprenyl and picamilon because they can lead to bad reactions with SSRIs.

Since 5-htp boosts serotonin, I'm guessing it's not smart to combine it with the other two. Is that right?

deprenyl acts on dopamine primarily, only at high doses (instructions that come with it says non selective mao inhibition probably starts at 30-40mg a day) it becomes nonselective, so you should be safe, but start low just to be safe

Thanks, Dasense.

I read that you're mid-20s and took 5mg/day of deprenyl for motivation. How is that going lately? Still at the same dose?

been taking 10mg since mid november, the winter really affects my mood and productivity, and 10mg slegiline has been a great help, i don't get those winter mood swings and depression moments, and while my motivation is increased i hoped for a little more....but again this is fine too
