LEF is having their yearly sale and so I'm putting together the following regimen for my parents(in their 50's/60's):
1)LEF Multivitamin Extension Mix tablets
2)LEF Herbal Mix
3)Super EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans & Olive Fruit Extract

They're just getting into the supplement scene so a nice small number of pills is what this year will be about as they begin to make some long term dietary changes and lose some weight at the health club (not just some New Year's resolution, either, as it's been a long time coming).

I'm not looking to add ALA-forms, ALC, SOD, Resveratrol, etc ("advanced" items),
but would like to know if any of the following are really necessary:

a)LEF Complete B-complex (Does this profile well with LEF MultiMix?),
b)LEF Buffered Vit. C powder(1/2-dose, 3-times/day)(Necessary?),
c)Optimum Nutrition WheyProtein
or BCAAs (has sucralose...hmm...any others this 'good' without it?),
d)LEF Mega Silymarin with Isosylibin B
e)LEF Enzymes(are enzymes really worth taking? They are older, ya know...)
f) Green Tea Extract (BulkNutrtion's bulk profile)

...or any item you deem as essential or not worth taking(including the core 3 listed at top).
All comments welcome...even, "Getcher dirty regimen peddlin' patoots'on out hizzeer!"

FYI: The LEF Herbal Mix ("green food") is in there because they both seem to take to the satiety they get from usage (just use B-complex and psyllium instead?). Not too sure about the "green food" products, especially since a year's supply at LEF costs just as much as a year's supply of the LEF Multi-Life-Ext-Mix tablets.)

Only on ImmInst member would think that at least 10 (and potentially many more) is "a nice small number of pills." :)

My vote is:
a) no b-vitamin complex
b) yes for the C. Preferrably take less C (say 1/4 dosage of the LEF buffered) more often, as opposed to more less often.
c) No protein supp, if their diet is good.
d) There's silymarin in the herbal mix, so I would say save the money.
e) Dunno
f) Is BN a good brand? Make sure it is tested for the standard nasties.

go with the multi, the epa/dha, the C powder & the enzymes

no real need for anything else, especially at the begining... you dont wanna overwhelm them

Response to dantecubit:
a) ok
b) thanks!
c) Thinking it might help them in their diet/weight loss pursuit. That and I know I just feel like a bucket of energy after some whey. Oh, and whatever immune enhancing effects that come with whey consumption. They're old, ya know!
d) Thinking Herbal Mix might be an expensive flop that could be replaced with its (best effects) covered by the B-Complex(energy), the Silymarin(liver), and some psyllium fiber(satiety).
e)me either
f) I use it. Not sure on the whole about their quality. Anyone know?

Response to ajnast4r:
That is right...too difficult a regimen may just turn them off. Your recommendations are most appropriate.
