There's a relatively new forum on which discussions relate to Jeff Hawkins book, On Intelligence, and a posting I just placed there raises the issue of cryonics and brain repair, for those who might want to have a look at it (and perhaps browse the rest of that forum).

The posting that I was adding a reply to was in a thread titled, "Why a Deespona-Hawkin brain model can lead us to immortality", which suggested a tie-in with the subject matter here.
If that thread continues (over there), I'll no doubt want to add a link back to this one, for those (over there) who might see this as a potentially important connection (Jeff Hawkins' work and immortalism).
(Or, who knows, one of you may have done that already!)
