I read on various sites that Vasopressin is actually ADH (Anti-Duiretic Hormone). If so, one would be trading enhanced cognition for higher blood-pressure, fluid retention, etc. Are these the same hormones, or are those websited just wrong?

Same, however, vasopresssin is no longer available only desmopressin, which many think has little cognitive benefit only side effects.

Demopressin is one of the best researched compound in healthy adults for memory.....at the doses used in the studies little side effects were seen.

I was rather more interested in Vasopressin to augment the dive deflex (the autonomic response which causes dilation of the cerebral and cardio-pulmonary vasculature, and constriction of peripheral vasculature). I was looking to an adjunct for my dive-reflex training.

Vasopression seemed to offer promise as some studies document its effects as a peripheral vasoconstrictor and a cerebral vasodilator. Nothing explicit and solid in humans, and nothing combining it with the dive reflex.

If Desmopressin can do this, then it might be a valid alternative. Failign which there is always good old gingko. However, part of my "stack" will be some vasodilators like citrulline malate or arginine ethyl ester.

This is, of course, a bit of a thought-experiment at the moment. i still have not satisfied myself that too much oxygen in the brain might not be a good thing (i.e. oxidative damage of neurons)
