I'm about to build my first stack, which will include piracetam, ALCAR and creatine. My understanding is that it is best not to take these with food, but I'm not sure whether it's unwise to take the supplements themselves at the same time. My aim is to take them pre or post breakfast and include a physical workout in my morning routine. I'd appreciate any suggestions for a timing strategy for these supplements + breakfast + workout (not necessarily in that order), which would most facilitate absorption and also give me the most benefit from the creatine and ALCAR as far as the workout is concerned. (I'll be taking some other noots/supplements with breakfast including R-ALA to complement the ALCAR, and Alpha GPC to complement the piracetam.)

Errr... I'm sorry my friend, but as I discovered for myself, Piracetam and creatine can both cause gastric problems (even if it's creatine ethyl-ester). I would reccommend taking both of these with food for that reason. Alcar, hasn't given me any problems on its own, but you can pop them all at once. ALA I have often done with meals as it improves glycemic control, and helps to handle any free-radicals.

No need to be sorry, that advice makes things much simpler! :)

The most straightforward strategy I can think of is to take the ALCAR on waking, everything else with breakfast 30-40min later, and then do a workout half an hour or so after that. Only problem is that 90 percent of what I've read here and on other forums suggests an empty stomach for both piracetam and creatine. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Why do you want to include creatine in this stack? Have you considered using HMB instead? One product that I have used with positive benefits is a product by EAS called 'Betagen'. Give it a try. :)

The reading I've done suggests that there is more evidence for creatine's efficacy; and even some quite solid evidence that it has modest cognitive/memory enhancement qualities.

The jury seems to be out on "HMB":

but it's always good to hear personal experiences. Thanks for sharing your positive results with "Betagen"... although I'm slightly confused, because if the following is the product you're referring to, there's twice as much creatine in it as HMB:

I'm still interested in opinions for the best way to organise an ALCAR/creatine/piracetam/breakfast/workout morning schedule.
