Overall average effect is 20-30% (variation of lifespan explained by genes). However,when you consider no effect before 60, that means that the effects are drastically higher after that.

Very interesting! This makes one truly wish for personal genome sequencing tech, or some high-res SNP chip. It would very interesting which of these longevity alleles are expressed mostly or exclusively in readily transplantable cell types such as blood.
