Anyone heard of Lion's Mane? The product claims to increase NGF in the brain.

All I know is that it claims to help your myelin (or myelination process) and therefore help you improve your cognitive factors, (thougth?)if it was something that it was easily available thsat I could integrate in to my diet, I would, otherwise I would not be so eager to expend my money on it, there is other supplements that helps on the build up of that fat whitish tissue called Myelin

It does increase NGF, so that could be a plus depending on your regimen. There are other mushrooms I would take in supplement form before Lion's Mane.

Yeah, hydergine, ashwaganda, idbenone, Alcar-arginate all increase NGF.
For BDNF, outside of some SSRIs, it looks like intermittent fasting can (although not too sure how it will work in humans).

Was it high-dose Lyophilized Royal Jelly that increases BDNF...or was that GDNF?
