I have almost no evidence and I do not expect many to believe me.

My father has had Gout as long as I can remember he is 82 years old now and suffers from Topacheous Gout and needs surgery to cut 5 topi from his one foot.

He has used every Prescription gout med and has had a quintuple bypass that might be a result of his Gout.

I started having Gout attacks in my big toe maybe 20+ years ago and now I am 60.

Also years ago I had kidney stones so bad I was pissing blood. Now, I have no kidney stones.

Plus I just had two cataract surgeries and my vision is 20/20.

These are the known symptoms of Gout.

But, for some reason I stopped having the toe pain so many years ago I can not exactly remember when my gout totally dissapeared.

I started taking one to one and a half grams of 98% to 99% Pure Resveratrol a day starting about 10 years ago.

I do not have any gout anymore but I did have gout symptoms many years ago.

All I have is anecdotal evidence that Resveratrol has cured my gout

while my father appears to be in end stage gout.

IF I told me father to try Resveratrol he would never listen to me since I am not a doctor.

I have no Proof.

Here is just one study I can find:

Clinical Rheumatology

The effect of resveratrol on the recurrent attacks of gouty arthritis

Bixbyte, I am not surprised.  Hallux rigidis is an arthritic condition of the big toe joint.  It swells and becomes unable to bend.  I had this 8 years ago;  Very painful.  But I started taking resveratrol(for other reasons) and consider the condition cured.  No pain, the toe joint bends making it possible to walk normally.  The is still some bony deformation.  My brother had the same condition, and underwent an operation to cure it.

Whether resveratrol will have the same effect on anyone else I don't know.
