Just a suggestion, try undertaking a task for which piracetam is reputed to be beneficial -- eg. writing, speaking/conversing, listening to or playing music -- and try and detect whether you notice anything different to normal. I don't think many people report "feeling" the effects of piracetam with regards to their mood and so forth.

I started Piracetam 2 weeks ago, energy level went up. Started taking lecthin Wed. was getting a small headache. Agree with "ergosum" about "mood" but I find if my energy level is up my mood is better. The things I have noticed, I get up better in the morning,
I get projects done and the best thing so far is I just feel better over all.

I think you will need to extend the logging period to 12 weeks. 4 weeks is a bit short to notice any effects....(besides eventual side effects )

What is the half life for piracetam? That way i would know if it would be beneficial to seperate doses
On one website the Half Life is 5 hours and on another it is 8 hours...

So far i've mainly only been taking one high dose in the morning....

I think 2.8 grams isnt enough for noticeable effects... On one website i saw that 75mg/kilo of bodyweight was needed....

I haven't read anything to suggest that Piracetam has an effect on motivation. Your mood regarding music is probably co-incidental. You could, however, use your curiosity to evaluate piracetam's effects as self-motivation!

Headhaches are because of insufficient Choline intake.

Choline citrate is not a very good source of Choline, my friend. You are throttling the true power of Piracetam with this regimen, and upping your dosage of Piracetam will give you worst headaches.

I highly suggest you take a break now and order some Alpha-GPC + B50 vitamin. Take 500mg GPC, with a B50 (or half a B50) + 1.2g of Piracetam, twice a day, and you will get much better results :)

I hope you meant 500mg GPC in total for the day -- 500mg Alpha GPC 2x daily would definitely be excessive.

funkodyssey, is it better to lower the Alpha-GPC dose when using ALCAR as well ?

I don't think ALCAR would boost acetylcholine production enough to necessitate a reduction of your Alpha-GPC dose. Don't take my word for it though. :)

Are we talking about the actual powder or the GPC content?

From here

http://www.1fast400....gredients_id=12

"One gram a day is the recommended dosage,"

This is what I do, without any problems.

However a gram of Alpha-GPC powder, which is usually at 50% concentration GPC, would come to 500mg actual GPC indeed.

500mg->250mg a day would be too low in my opinion. :)

It is a source of choline, necessary when using nootropics, but not as efficient as Alpha-GPC.

Take a look at this article (I am not affiliated with 1fast400)

http://www.bulknutri...gredients_id=12

"Alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine is the most bioavailable form of choline, and also has some mild nootropic effects."

Which has been my personal experience, too.

I stopped taking it bc you said it wasn't going to help with piracetam... maybe taking more choline citrate will help? until i can get alpha gpc?
