WEATHER WEIRDING

Emotions, wind and weather
All entwine together
Where one begins,
Ends the better
A vortex with no bend
Endless tornadoes that forever lend
Changing patterns for our lives
History to our minds
Quiet voices in cosmic rapture sublime
Our Universe of surrounding spirals
Where're the boundaries of souls

We dance molecular movements
Whisper a celestial croon
While staring at the moon
Genuflecting upon the dirge
Like hymns we strain to recite
Spirit walking and Astral talking
Of storms in the calm eye's sight
Our vision in this darkest night
A solace in our most desperate plight
Simple hope in dawn's new light
O' thank the Gods and thee for being
A friend is rare indeed
Precious beyond compare
This gift of treasure shared
Once given always fair

Friendship's initiation is
Sudden like a lightning strike
Loud like thunder's clap and growl
Subtly soft like dew and drizzling cool
Warm like fire against Winter's cruel
Heat of Summer and tempest of storm
Our Friendship is forever born
Like souls or stars to heaven
And Phoenixes of Fire
They die yet are transcendent
Live again in others nourish life
Playing songs of Living and the Grateful Dead
Of the fragile eternity for this Earth
Semele sings of a moment time immemorial
A ballad of mountain births
Nocturnes to fecund seas
These lands of season's delight

Weather is the voice
Earth breathes word into
Rain her dripping blood shed
We drink, bear and are born in, too
Fire makes her burning birthing cloak
The mantle, muscle made of soil and stone
Her sinew, and her bone
Weather we can listen to
We watch and learn its sound
We see the words and hear her song
In a voice sometimes so sweet,
A delicate and fragrant treat,
At other times severe, harsh, and shrew
Or just faint whispers of a zephyr's psalm
Contrasting typhoon's howling tortured tunes
Waterspouts gyrate with a whirling dervish grace
Telling elusive silent secrets in lyric sunset
Skies scripted in majestic colored runes
Dusty siroccos and wet monsoons
Bring freezing winter's gloom
The spring colors and summer's content
Let's not forget fall's warning lament

"Another turn, another day
A year and season too.
Forces linked twixt Sun and Moon
Of Tide and Temp and Time and Airs,
Mountains, plateau prairie and desert cairns
Her sea's sons care
Human!
We are born there!"
