Justin Rebo was involved with the blockbuster innovative method of removing senescent T-cells from the blood stream and presented the results at SENS4: Video here.

Be sure to post any questions you might have for Justin here in the forum.

One focus of the podcast will be Justin's journey from student to Imminst director to start-up entrepreneur. I am sure he has some good advice for the rest of us.

I think, that this method is very interesting. Unfortunately, I was not able to follow the link to the video, that was given. May someone please post another link to it?

I would like to ask the authors several questions:
1. Has this method been tested on people?
2. If so, what were the results?
3. How the "anergic T cells" removal reflects the overall (general) health status?
4. With what speed the anergic T cells accumulate again after their removal?
5. How often the removal has to be done?

Thanks for pointing out the video problem seivtcho. I will have to let SENS know that it is not working. There are low quality versions available on you tube: Part 1, and Part 2.

Justin Rebo works at ImmunePath. They were looking for interns a little while ago.

Here is a description of the company at the Founders Fund website.

I will ask how his research compares to this recent blockbuster endeavor: http://www.ats.org/s...ws_iv_ctrl=1261

I would be interested in practicalities regarding his career change; what are the 2 most challenging aspects of that he had to deal with?

And (again) my compliments for his achievements please!!

Edit: damn, weird iPad spell correction again.....

The interviews are not "live" right now. I record them as podcasts and post them here later. I am still in the process of re-developing a live show like we had previously. I hope we can have a live video chat up and running again this Summer.

Some highlights from the interview:

*In contrast to some other interviews, the top thing Justin mentioned for more help in conquering aging is more people (money is further down the list). First, more people to do actual research. Second, more people getting out of the death trance (where a lot of our efforts are focused).

*Most supplements don't work (with a caveat of vitamin D3 and fish oil).

*In regards to questions asked above, he is unsure if there are any human trials removing senescent cells from the immune system, but says it would be worthwhile to continue down this avenue of research. Maybe something Longecity could spearhead? He is not pursuing it because he is working on other promising research at ImmunePath.

*One of the most challenging things he encountered in his path from medical school, through SENS, and now his work at ImmunePath - sorting through the vast majority of academic studies that are "garbage". So many studies are poorly designed or biased.

Haha, win! Those are among the only 3 I'm still using (and I'm not even sure I need the occasional Zinc pill I'm popping "just in case").
It's great to have confirmation from someone who's actually in the business and is also highly critical of the quality of the experimental data available in journals.

I think, that Justin Rebo is right when saying, that the people, who work over the topics of stopping the aging process are very few. I think, that all people from the forum must do what they can, according to their knowledge and field of expertise to find some way of fighting against the aging process.
