Hi There,
I would be most grateful for any advice you guys may have - been lurking on this forum for quite a while and it has been an invaluable source of information.
Since taking the acne drug 'Roaccutane' 4.5 years ago, I have suffered severe debilitating side effects. This drug seriously fucked my health and I would advise anyone considering taking it to stay away from it.The most prominent of these persisitent side effectrs are chronically low libido (complete ED/lack of morning erections) and, for the last two years, severe brain fog. The brain fog is so bad I have been on long term sick leave (6 months) as I could no longer work through it. By brain fog, I mean slow thoughts, real problems with my speech, social anxiety, being a general retard. Very similar to 'chemo brain' - which is not surprising considering accutane was originally developed as a chemotherapy drug.
I recently tried Piracetam for 10 days 3 months ago - (4000mg 'attack dose' for 3 days, followed by 2400mg per day thereafter). This is probably the best supplement I have tried (I haven't tried many) - it did help my speech problems and overall gave a 50% boost in cognitive functioning - but, it absolutely nailed the (tiny) libido I have left. So I decided to stop taking it.
Would be most grateful to hear any recommendations you guys have for nootropic stacks aimed at brain fog that do not have an impact on libido (if anything, my libido needs to be improved). My career is on the line with this - if I dont get back to work soon I'll lose my job so I may have to consider taking piracetam again regardless. Do all the 'racetams have a simiar impact on libido? Any other supplements worth giving a shot? I've bought some phosphatidylserine, might give that a go next.
Cheers for any help you can give guys. Over time hopefully I can contribute more to this forum as I get a better understanding of nootropics etc
