Here all the relevant research I could find in regards to adrenal fatigue:

..................................................

..................................................

It DOES NOT exist. It see people talking about it on this forum a lot.

http://www.mayoclini...fatigue/AN01583 is a nice short article by one of the leading clinics in the world.

The most common cause for 'adrenal fatigue' on this board I see (without having any formal qualifications for diagnosis) is Major Depressive Disorder. Chronic fatigue syndrome and sleep disorders I also sometimes see but a lot more rarely.

Trying to increase adrenal output when depressed is DANGEROUS. Major Depressive Disorder and related syndromes have hyperactive adrenal glands, increasing there activity could well be worsen your problems. There are plenty of treatments pharmacological and not for depression and sleep disorders. CFS is harder to treat but its still more likely to respond to theoretically or evidence based treatments than the crap people take for 'adrenal fatigue'. Not to mention CFS has a massive correlation with depression and treating that can lead to functional improvements.
