This post is in response to IronLife's topic on Vitamin E / NAC accelerating lung cancer. I was particularly alarmed by this news, as I smoked for a while and have naturally have high levels of cysteine in my system.
So for the record, I'd like to put together an exhaustive list of supplements and herbs that have been documented to do the opposite. Would be great also for those who are resistant to treatment to know what other options they have.
So far, I have Coriolus Versicolor (Turkey Tail) which hinders the growth of advanced stage non-small cell Lung Cancer. I imagine this may be attributable to its potent immune-enhancing effects.

I also have Eurycoma Longifolia (Tongkat Ali) which suppresses several markers and genes associated with cancer cell growth. This is possibly a result of its potent cytotoxic activities:

Eleutherococcus Senticosus (Siberian Ginseng), although this appears to be more general, and as with Turkey Tail (above) appears to be rooted in its anti-metastatic activity by enhancing immune factors:

Lindera Strychifolia:

The compound Emodin.

Anti-angiogenic herbs (multiple), which would cut off the generation of fresh blood vessels in the tumors:

Stephania Tetrandra, although this appears to only be useful in augmentation with drug therapies of diagnosed tumors by getting rid of drug resistance:

An interesting study here, on 'Korean Medicinal Therapy' which was used SOLELY to treat Advanced Stage IV lung cancer. A mixture of methods were used here:

The multi-formulated medicine 'Rasagenthi Lehyam' also appears to have efficacy:

Feel free to add to this.
