Check out NAC and hair loss.  It's been reported here and elsewhere to either stop further loss or to increase the rate of growth.  Hair is about 1/8 cysteine.

Other than that, the internet is full of sites dedicated to hair loss management regimens.

I also have male pattern baldness. I've started taking NAC, resveratrol, curcumin, and vitamin E tocotrienols to help. Too soon to say anything, hope it helps some months in the future though.

What's your dosage of NAC?  Haven't found a recommended dosage for hair loss yet.  One website says to work up to 18g 2x a day.  Not sure how I'd get that down my throat without a ton of gel caps.  Expensive too.

Honestly, I don't think any amount of NAC is going to signifcantly help... genes will win in this case. Regardless, I'm taking 600mg a day, Life Extension brand.

36 grams of NAC a day?  Sounds like you'd end up with an attractive corpse...  Look into Nizoral and Minoxidil.  Cheap, effective, safe.

Looking into Finasteride.

How Well It Works

Finasteride is recognized as a successful therapy for inherited hair loss for men. Research reports that it slows hair loss on the scalp and helps regrow hair.2 But bald spots may not be completely covered, and visible results may take from a few months to a year.

Minoxidil and ketaconozole are good but the former will lose effectiveness over time.

I am now dissolving ru58841 powder into the prop glycol solution of regaine and it works wonders.

Grape seed extract worked well for me. I have new hair growth at the front but I am a woman.
