As a reminder, LongeCity full Members can moderate their own topics.

While not standard policy, this can be useful for reasons including:
  • Where you plan to frequently edit the first post
  • where you would like to maintain control over how a topic and its information is formatted
  • or simply where you care deeply about a certain topic and don’t want it derailed by low-quality off topic posts.
Topic moderators can:
1- Edit their own contributions in a thread at any time
2- Remove the contributions of others
3- (optional) Edit the contributions of others

To moderate
1) you have to be a Member and must be the ‘threadstarter’ or have the threadstarters permission.
2) Add the following notice and link: "NOTE: This topic is moderated by the threadstarter"
3) State your rules for how you will moderate the thread
4) Use the contact form and link the topic you are aiming to moderate. Leadership will make a decision, please give it a few days.

Topic moderators, as all moderators, should exercise good judgement before removing or altering content. Changing content to misrepresent others or the facts is of course not acceptable.
Those who contribute to a moderated topic thereby agree with the topic rules and any moderation decisions by the moderator.
