What amino acid in whey protein is making me motivated when I drink it? If I can isolate it, my life will change. Here is the thing: after I drink my protein shake, I'm motivated to get work done and just take care of business. But this boost in motivation last for only about an hour and then I crash. This is the only thing that has a very noticeable effect on my mental state.
Whey hurts my stomach and causes some anxiety when I drink it so if I could get the motivation boost from a standalone substance, I would ditch it. And it only lasts a short time.
I know it's not the following AAs because I've already tried them seperately and they do nothing for motivation: tyrosine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamine. methionine, glycine, aspartic acid
So what the fck is it? maybe it's the BCAAs?
