introduction bodybuilding nutrition anti-aging medicine
Good morning -in Belgium, that is,
This will be my first blog I am going to start and as an introduction I'll start with telling something about myself.
I'm a second year Medical student from Belgium, full of ambition of becoming a heart surgeon. My grades are very good (knowledge is power!), I'm a tutor for other students and I'm chief-editor of the student newspaper.
Outside of university, besides my friends and family, I'm very interested in nutrition, supplements and bodybuilding (not to an extent of unnatural physiques or body-killing substances, just to be clear). My research in nutrition started over a year ago, after being too underweight, which was also when I started weightlifting. After a year of weightlifting, I have gained a decent amount of strength and gained about 20 pounds (9 kg) with not too much fat gain, despite having a big weight loss during summer, when I went to Peru for 3 weeks to volunteer in a hospital. Beforehand, I read that high altitude causes an increased metabolism, preferably for muscles, accompanied with a lack of appetite, yet I didn't expect it to be that much. My experiences in Peru have been the best weeks of my life thus far, however, so I'm not complaining at all: the last day on Macchu Pichu was like a dream, in-cre-di-ble!
Accompanied with being interested in nutrition and BB comes supplements, logically. Supplements not only BB-wise, but also health-wise for me and my parents. I have learned a lot, yet I just have recently found out about Longecity and never thought about anti-aging and nootropics before, strange enough. I'm looking forward to absorb the knowledge on Longecity and studies/aspects related to it and hoping to incorporate this with my weightlifting, which might even be a good experiment to see what supplements do for me. In the next post, I'll inform you about my workout program and my supplement stack, so stay tuned!
