I put on my swimsuit and got into the elevator only to find a sign saying the pool is closed for "repairs and upgrades" in August, with no warning. The person who runs our apartment building has a lot of problems so I bet he broke the pool motor again when he was drunk. He gave a timeline of a few days but I didn't believe that. I saw no work going on in the pool area the next day. So I went into the pool area that night and snooped around. The only thing different was that the pool motor appeared to be gone. Yup. So I went swimming. And several nights after that. This was the umpteenth time this idiot came up with a reason for the pool to be unavailable, some of them having no physical cause whatsoever. The "deadline" for the "repairs and upgrades" was moved up twice. The pool was supposed to be open this afternoon but he said to stay out so the pool filter has twelve hours to filter the water. As if he could not have thought of that before. Closed, schmosed. I got my own rules.
