Or maybe it's ASMR? Anyone knows?
Are music chills (frisson) caused by dopamine release?

No, it’s a fear response. For reasons that are not understood at this time, the human brain sometimes flips the fear switch when we’re listening to music.

Two substances that brought back music chills for me was NSI-189, and Nortriptyline.
NSI-189 via its generation of neurons in the hippocampus likely leads to downstreams effects of the amydgala, which is likely the area that triggers in response to music / emotional things.
Nortriptyline, im not sure.. likely just a reduction in depression symptoms.
I'm avoiding serotonin based anti depressants as they are known to blunt emotional response.
