If it would be Ebola... Its better for humanity to be destroyed by AI than by biologic epidemic because:
1) Most likely unfriendly AI will kill everybody immediately and without suffering.
2) AI will keep some information about humanity and probably run some human simulations - just as instrumental goals for modeling different passes of own development.
