plus, DARPA's 2006 study found CX-717 to be basically useless as a nootropic...though it will probably still be studied as a respiratory stimulant.
to my eyes, much more promising is sunifiram: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12070754 claims it is 1000x more potent than piracetam...w/e that means.
