You'll see all kinds of scary warning when trying to use the site - it is no less safe than yesterday only our SSL certificate needs renewing.  

Very sorry! I thought this was well in hand with our host, and I can't fix it straight away myself.  

I noticed this a couple weeks ago using Google Chrome Canary (the https was crossed out with a red slash), but it didn't show up in normal Chrome. I hesitated to mention it because Canary is alpha sw and so didn't know if it was a real problem. Guess it was.

no, it was only an issue in the last 12 hours.  Should be fixed now.
