H3 receptor as antidepressant?

This article calls H3 receptor "the inhibitor in chief". There's a diagram that shows how it inhibits literally all the other NTs. Are we chasing the wrong stuff then by combining multiple drugs that act on all these NTs rather than going at the root cause of the problem? 

 

Anyone who has experience with fixing their depression with legit H3 inhibitors?

 

Anybody got any idea what percent of depression is due to histamine?

Betahistine (Serc) is a H3 antagonist that is readily available in Europe.  I believe it is even available OTC in some countries.

 

Dirt cheap as well.

Do you happen to know what's the ballpark dose if you use it for depression or just as nootropic?
