Am I the only one that can't see these sig images anymore? They timeout after 10-15 seconds and just show up as an "X" with "user posted image" as the alt text.

They show up fine for me.

Weird. They worked fine a couple days ago, but now they don't show up at work or at home. It's not the surfwatch, because if I copy the URL into the address bar, I would get a SurfWatch screen if it was being blocked, but I just get a 10-15 second delay and then a server not found message. And I don't have any kind of content blocker at home.

Hmm, I am not sure, I tried several different proxies in different parts of the world, and they all seemed to display the pics as well (clearing the cache in between each attempt), as well as Tor and some other programs and they all seem to be displaying for me. I am not sure what the trouble might be.

Tinypic is down. It's been that way for a day or so. (Or atleast, I haven't been able to access the site for a day or so.)

Edit: Nevermind, I completely forgot I could check your profile for location. Well, as you do seem to be based in America, that might be it. I've noticed several sites, all in the same general area, that no one I know in America can access, but people based in other countries can. It sounds like a top level domain problem.

I'm getting curious about this as well. It does certainly seem like the internet is experiencing some technical difficulties. I wonder if an important DNS got hacked somewhere.

I did a whois on several of the sites that I can't seem to access, but people out of the US can. They all appear to be based in the US, so perhaps the American top level domain name is messed up.

Hmm, that may be it, all of the proxies I used were outside the US. I am in the US and can access it, but other parts of the US may be having some trouble. Although, I am in the same area as Jay (Georgia, unless you aren't here anymore Jay?), but I am accessing through Comcast right now, so it may be different if you go through someone else.

weird...

I access it through Bell South, either way. I have Bell South DSL at home, and the State of Georgia (well, my department anyway) also gets access through a trunk operated by Bell South. So it could be that Bell South and Comcast use a different primary backbone provider or something, and Bell South's network can't get to certain parts of the internet.

Hmm... Might be worth complaining to Bell South about... Not today. If it's still down in a couple days, I'll complain.

Charter's having the same problem as well, so it isn't just your internet provider. Does anyone by chance know which backbone Charter uses? If it's the same one as Bell South, which I suspect it is, that would be the most logical place for the break.

I wonder if the outages are related to an ongoing battle on the internet involving spammers, which apparently has knocked out some major services:

Could just be coincidental timing...

Here is the flag requested in this post. I went ahead and did 3 versions, although I do know that "Serbia and Montenegro" is the official one, but since it was just slightly more work to do all 3, I went ahead and did the other 2 as well, just in case.

Here are the "half and half" ones for Northern Ireland requested here. I did one with the UK flag on top and Ireland flag on bottom, and the other reversed. I was going to do it half and half the other way (side by side), but then only a couple of the colors of the Irish flag would have shown up, so I thought this way was better:

Here ya go. I found a punk(ish) font that looks like cut out letters. I couldn't really wrap it around like I did the other letterings because it made it look funny, but I think it is pretty rockin'. If you would rather have regular lettering, I could do that instead.

Hey guys, unfortunately my laptop that had my software and templates I was using to make these got fried, so it will probably be a week or two before I can start making them again. I will get right on these 2 (and any others that appear in the meantime) as soon as I am back up and running. Sorry for the delay. :p
